The Company

The history of Draghe Lario dates back to 1962 and the founding of Simi, a specialist industrial metal-working company.

Following the acquisition in 1963 of the Serafini brand name and know-how, the company began manufacturing its first pumps, going on to become a leader in the sector of horizontal and vertical axis dredging pumps. 

By the end of the sixties Draghe Lario had already started constructing cutter suction dredgers and since then has continued to build on its experience, becoming a reputed dredger manufacturer exporting to all parts of the world.

In 1985 Draghe Lario further expanded its product range with the acquisition of the Moncalvi brand name, belonging to one of Italy’s key pump manufacturers.
